Just had two huge sneezes that might have woken the neighbourhood up. Yep, only 11.25 pm but i sometimes forget people in this part of the island sleep really early. Oh wait today's saturday, means there's soccer ha. No games of interest to me though(gunners play tmr). Anyway, post exams have been good so far. First thing we did on the 21st was to get that free B&J's cone. KBox was immensely satisfying. Even the tv shows have been 'good' - Lil and Anoop finally got eliminated on Idol, Tyson got blindsided and voted off on Survivor woohoo! (yes i do still watch it cannot ah) The only thing bad was The Sniper. (i hope huiyu doesn't see this hahaha) i'm here cos the show i'm watching is loading on sigh, a turtle's pace. And a really old turtle at that. I had a pretty good, relaxing day though. :))) Got my first day of exercise since hols started. Got to say that exercise's probably somewhere up there on my holiday agenda! Throughout the semester I have had signs telling me I am unfit, you know, panting while walking up the stairs or even the SLOPE, walking fast (cos im late for class), etc. it ain't a nice feeling. so this hols, im going to get many good games of badminton and squash, squeeze in some swimming and cycling, play some leisurely tennis and bball. :) today i'm happy cos i racked up my furthest distance yet on BOTH my blading and car mileage! :D:D was out with the family and relatives at East Coast Park the whole day cos my dad was running some cross country race for his company in the evening. Beautiful day at the park. And on the same note of optimism, it was a bright, sunny day as well. :) Dear blades, Today I took you along for repair at your favourite skating shop where i was sadly informed of your impending demise (repairing the straps and wheels and everything will cost almost as much as a brand new pair, so yeah). :( so i took you on, i hope, a fitting send-off journey by blading almost the entire length of east coast park. (whoooo!) ive never bladed as much nor as long as today. (probably cos i'm not that good on rollerblades so i usually prefer cycling) I know I've not been much of a good owner, keeping you inside the dark, dingy storeroom for months on end and noticing your broken inner being (couldn't resist a bit of melodrama) only very recently. Nonetheless, you have served me well in these 8 years, (got it as a reward for my psle results) and today, you did a marvelous job once again. Thanks for not letting me fall, and for hanging on throughout your final trip. I felt your pains, it must not have been easy. Love, your owner. (crappppp, i really suck at this. lol you can probably tell from the what-the-hell kinda ending) hmm now on to driving. i got to drive back from east coast all the way to bukit timah, and all the way home after that! before you go cheyy, this is really a big accomplishment in my short driving lifespan so far kay. it's my first time driving from one end of the island to another. i didn't even have any near accidents. and NO, i didn't mount any kerb as well! lol. okay, i think this is really not much of a big deal. heh. anyway, there was this inter-school biathlon thing going on. it was a pretty big event and we all stuck around the transition area between the swim leg and run leg watching the paticipants get all flustered looking for their running gear after their swim leg(lol). I was standing there amid all the excitement and shouts of encouragement and all i could think about was my own competition periods. :))) great times, back then. Was looking at the Rafflesians' way of cheering and going all hmmmm! All i can say is, how different. ha. Probably had the most sugar cane juice i ever had in a day as well. Oh well, boring post. Looking forward to stong, tioman and aviva. Happy holidays, everyone. |
